For years, Hamline has maintained a blog with alumni news and more. Now, we’ve decided to bring that same content directly to your inbox via Substack.
1. Why Storyteller’s Inkpot?
Before keyboards and before ballpoint pens, a writer would find their perfect pen, adjust the nib, and dip it in their inkpot before writing. This created a rhythm in their work, a necessary pause in writing, a time to stop and think. Storyteller’s Inkpot is a pause in your writing life, a place for MFAC alums and hopefuls to pause and think, to gain inspiration, to refill their creative well.
2. What can you expect from Storyteller’s Inkpot?
We’ll be publishing regular alumni updates and writing inspiration from faculty and alumni. This is an extension of Hamline’s social media, but with a little more room to stretch our legs and a little less reliance on algorithms.
3. Who is writing this?
Jesse Doogan (‘24) is the managing editor of the Storyteller’s Inkpot, under the oversight of program administrator Sarah Ahiers and program director Mary Rockcastle.
4. We want to hear from you!
